Texas School of Deaf Crew

Both TSD & TRFA provide staff that can sign in order to instruct students in building knowledge, skills, confidence and technique in learning and enjoying paddling and rowing on Lady Bird Lake.  Sessions are always fun and well attended.

Rowing & paddling classes for the School of the Deaf are held every Wednesday afternoon (3:30-5:00 pm) throughout the academic school year.

Texas School of the Deaf has hosted TRFA university / college interns & volunteers from inception.  Randy Rosens leads these dedicated individuals and teaches rowing & paddling in both School of Deaf and School of the Blind. Randy was instrumental in getting adaptive rowing started on LB Lake. Randy is our #1 volunteer & the unofficial ambassador of Austin.

Randy signs (ASL) at a Texas Rowing For All introduction to hand cycling for deaf participants.
