Adaptive Summer Day-Camp for Youth & Adults with Disabilities
June 10-14 and July 15-19, 2013
2013 will be thefourth year Texas Rowing For All will offer Summer Adaptive Day Camp, affectionately known by the campers, as “Camp Kayak”.
Year after year, Camp Kayak has received rave reviews from camp participants, families and supporters. This year, adaptive Camp will be held the week of June 10-14 and the week of July 15-19. Campers have the opportunity to repeat sessions. Camp Kayak will be held during the comfort and cool of mornings from 8:30am-12noon at Texas Rowing Center. Cost of the camp is $150 per person for the week, which includes a full-range of fun & stimulating safe activities, including: on-water paddling, games, communication circles, wading/splashing, Barton Creek adventure, meeting new friends, new experiences and opportunities you’ve never had before!
Summer Adaptive Camp is geared for youth (age 13 and up) and young adults with disabilities. Staff to camper ratio is quite small in order to accomodate and individualize the summer Camp experience. Our Camp staff employs safety, fun, excellence and best practices working with youth & young adults with disabilities.
Detailed Summer Camp Information will be sent after *receipt of payment and *Camper Form (see link below) completion. This individualed email communication from the Camp Director, will provide complete information on activities, schedule, and information on the who, the what and what to bring-how to prepare for the optimal summer Camp experience, along with questions & answers communications.
**Each Camper will be required to pay the Camp fee of $150. and Complete the Camper Registration FORM by May 15, 2013.
